The bill passed in the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 387-26. Rep. Mann released the following statement after the vote.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Tracey Mann (KS-01) spoke on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives in honor of National Police Week. Since 1984, National Police Week has been recognized around Peace Officers Memorial Day, to honor fallen officers, law enforcement, and their families. During Rep. Mann’s speech he thanked law enforcement for their service to the nation and offered his support for several pieces of related legislation the House will vote on this week.

The House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on the FAA Reauthorization Act tomorrow.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Tracey Mann (KS-01) took to the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives to stress the importance of adequately investing in animal health research in the upcoming Farm Bill. Rep. Mann argued that these investments position the U.S. to allocate more resources to outbreak prevention rather than outbreak control, allowing Americans to see a higher return on their tax dollars by protecting the nation’s food supply and limiting animal disease outbreaks before they spread.
MANHATTAN, KS – Today U.S. Representative Tracey Mann (KS-01), alongside U.S. Senators Roger Marshall (R-KS) and Jerry Moran (R-KS), toured storm damage in Westmoreland, Kansas after a deadly tornado struck the community on Tuesday evening. The bipartisan legislation would create a national ignition interlock standard by encouraging states to adopt a mandatory first-time ignition interlock law, which helps reduce recidivism and improve road safety by ensuring fewer drunk drivers are on the road.
