Rep. Tracey Mann sworn in for second term in Congress

Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Representative Tracey Mann was sworn in for his second term as the Representative for Kansas’ First Congressional District. After Representative Mann took his oath of office he issued the following statement:
“I am honored to serve the great people of the First District of Kansas, and my mission is to advocate for agriculture and our conservative Kansas values. I grew up on a farm in Quinter where my family has lived for five generations. Growing up there taught me the value of rolling up your sleeves, getting into the middle of a problem, and doing the hard work required to fix it. Senator Bob Dole once told me about the “Kansas approach” – honesty, hard work, respect for your roots, common sense, service, simplicity, and genuine, thoughtful care for people. These are some of the Kansas values that inspire me and guide my decisions.
I have been hearing from Kansans about skyrocketing input costs on the farm, rampant inflation, unbearable taxes, and government agencies breathing down peoples’ necks. At the end of the day, if it matters to a Kansan, it matters to me, and I will continue to work towards solving these problems.
That is why, on Monday, I will immediately introduce six pieces of legislation that will hold the Biden Administration accountable, demand transparency from Washington, fight unconstitutional executive orders, and push back against federal government overreach. Growing up in Kansas taught me to wake up and work as hard as I can every day to accomplish what needs to be done to make my community, my state, and my country a better place.
The members of the 118th Congress have been sworn in, Republicans are in the majority, and we will fix problems – plain and simple.
The opportunity to serve you continues to be the honor of a lifetime.”
