Rep. Mann Votes to Save Taxpayer Dollars, Invest in U.S. National Security

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Tracey Mann (KS-01) voted to advance H. Con Res 14, which establishes a budgetary framework for fiscal year 2025 and sets budget levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2036. H. Con. Res. 14 is the first step required to unlock the budget reconciliation process in the U.S. House of Representatives. The resolution passed in the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 217-215. Rep. Mann released the following statement after the vote.
“On November 5, 2024, the country gave Washington, D.C. a definitive mandate to secure the border, invest in our national defense, cut taxes, and end federal waste, fraud, and abuse,” said Rep. Mann. “I proudly supported this first step to unlock President Trump’s full legislative agenda. I made a commitment to the Big First District to support President Trump’s policies that they overwhelmingly voted for in November. Today’s vote honors that promise, cuts taxes, and invests in all Americans.”
