Rep. Mann Releases Commitment to the Big First Policy Plan

January 11, 2023

Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Representative Tracey Mann released his Commitment to the Big First District on the Floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, outlining policies to get America back on track.

“Over the last two years, I did a lot of listening,” said Rep. Mann. “I held listening sessions each month. I received tens of thousands of calls, emails, and letters from Kansans. I hosted leaders and other Members of Congress in the district to listen with me. I hosted town halls 126 times over the last two years, and I’m gearing up to start my 2023 town hall tour again next week. As I travel across the district, I hear concerns about inflation, the border crisis, big government, sweeping executive orders, out-of-control government spending, sky-high taxes, and the infringement of basic rights like the Second Amendment and the right to life.

I have long said, if it matters to a Kansan, it matters to me. In response to what I heard over the last two years and to what I have seen while serving in Congress, I developed my Commitment to the Big First – a roadmap for the 118th Congress that gets America back on track, advocates for agriculture, and advances our Kansas conservative values.”

Commitment highlights include:

  • End Washington’s spending addiction, balance the budget, grow the economy, curb inflation, and lower taxes for individuals and small businesses.
  • Cut red tape and burdensome regulations for agricultural producers, business owners, and all Americans, block policies that would lock up 30% of private lands by 2030, end President Biden's war on fossil fuels and empower domestic producers to restore American energy independence.
  • Defend America’s national security and food security.
  • End the humanitarian crisis at the southern border, stop illegal immigration, and support America’s troops, and law enforcement.
  • Protect the lives of unborn children and their mothers.
  • Improve access to rural health care, lowering the cost of care and prescription drug prices.
  • Support the Second Amendment as a load-bearing wall to the U.S. Constitution.
  • Hold the federal government accountable, conduct rigorous oversight, and rein in the White House’s abuse of power.

Rep. Mann’s Commitment to the Big First complements House Republicans’ Commitment to America. You can view Representative Mann’s Commitment to the Big First here
