Rep. Mann reacts to GDP Second Quarter Report

July 30, 2022

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Representative Tracey Mann (KS-01) released the following statement in response to the U.S. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) report for the year's second quarter.

"Economists may disagree on whether to coin this as a recession, but the facts are clear. America is experiencing back-to-back quarters of negative economic growth, and we’re in the middle of the highest level of inflation in over 40 years. To get the economy back on track we need to put an end to reckless federal spending, unleash American energy production, and remove onerous government regulations that are hamstringing small businesses."

Representative Mann is the representative in Congress for the First Congressional District of Kansas. Prior to representing the First District, Representative Mann served Kansas as the 50th Lt. Governor of Kansas. RepresentativeMann has worked in commercial real estate and served on the loan committee for a community bank.
