Rep. Mann Promotes U.S. Peace Through Strength

December 10, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Tracey Mann (KS-01) voted to advance S. 1071, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026(NDAA). The annual bill provides critical resources for national defense, military readiness, and support for the nation’s service members. Rep. Mann released the following statement after the vote.

“Every day, our U.S. service members put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms,” said Rep. Mann. “I was proud to support our men and women in uniform at Fort Riley and around the globe by voting to give them a 4% pay raise, rebuild our defense industrial base, and restore merit-based standards in our military. More importantly, the NDAA better positions us to promote U.S. peace through strength while codifying several of President Trump’s executive orders that have put our military first again. I am forever grateful for the sacrifice our military and their families make every day, and this NDAA makes them a priority while restoring military lethality and morale for troops.”

The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026:

  • Provides enlisted service members with a 4% pay raise.
  • Expands U.S. counter-drone defenses and new technologies.
  • Advances the Golden Dome and enhances America’s nuclear deterrence and new nuclear power technologies.
  • Fully supports the deployment of National Guard and active-duty troops at the southwest border to intercept illegal immigrants and drugs.
  • Enhances U.S. defense initiatives in the Indo-Pacific to bolster Taiwan’s defense and support Indo-Pacific allies.
  • Revitalizes American shipbuilding and expands the Maritime Industrial Base.
  • Accelerates the development and delivery of space capabilities to counter Chinese and Russian nuclear arsenals and space surveillance.
  • Restores merit-based promotions and admissions to service academies.
  • Counters antisemitism and eliminates programs that discourage military readiness, like CRT and climate initiatives.
