Rep. Mann Opposes Second Bloated Spending Package

March 22, 2024

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Tracey Mann (KS-01) voted no on H. Res. 1102, the Further Consolidation Appropriations Act, 2024, which would further exceed bipartisan spending caps that were signed into law less than a year ago under the Fiscal Responsibility Act and bypass regular order on passing 12 individual appropriation bills.

"Kansans are tired of Washington recklessly spending their hard-earned tax dollars," said Rep. Mann. "Today's minibus legislation is more of the same last-minute scrambling to fund the government and further fuels the government spending crisis. We must reduce and reprioritize federal spending through the normal budgetary process and pass 12 fiscally responsible appropriation bills. I have fought to do that and will keep working to get America back on track."

H. Res. 1102, the Further Consolidation Appropriations Act, 2024passed in the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 286-134. It is the second part of an estimated $1.6 trillion spending bill and will now be sent to the U.S. Senate for further consideration.

On March 6, Rep. Mann voted no on H. Res. 1061, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024. It passed in the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 339-85.
