Rep. Mann Fights President Biden's War on American Energy

February 15, 2024

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Tracey Mann (KS-01) voted to unleash American energy production and end the Biden Administration's war on fossil fuels and domestic energy production. H.R. 7176, the Unlocking our Domestic LNG Potential Act would lift restrictions on the import and export of liquified natural gas (LNG), except for foreign adversaries, and streamline the export approval process.

"President Biden's war on American energy threatens the livelihoods of Americans, jeopardizes our allies' energy security, and compromises our national security," said Rep. Mann. "This legislation will end the misguided policy coming from the White House by lifting the arbitrary pause on LNG exports and removing unelected bureaucrats from the LNG export approval process. My vote sends a strong message that President Biden cannot politicize American energy and our national security."

H.R. 7176 passed in the U.S. House of Representatives with a 224-200 vote. It will now be sent to the U.S. Senate for further consideration.
