Rep. Tracey Mann reacts to FBI raid at President Trump's home

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Representative Tracey Mann (KS-01) released the following statement in response to the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) conducting a raid on former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home:

"The raid of President Trump’s home on Monday was a brazen political weaponization of the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice. When Republicans called on U.S. Attorney General Garland to intervene when violent threats and actions were made against U.S. Supreme Court Justices and pro-life pregnancy centers, he remained silent – but found the time to raid Mar-a-Lago. When former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton held state secrets insecurely on a server in her basement, the FBI also did nothing. And what about Hunter Biden’s laptop? Is the FBI concerned with the private business relationship between China and President Biden?

This seizure of former President Trump’s property is an embarrassment, it’s un-American, it sets a horrible precedent, and it’s an abuse of our country’s justice system.”
